Silicon valley is the nickname given to an area in California, located in the southern bay. It was christened this because it was home to lots of innovators and creators of the silicon chip. At number four on the list in one of Google’s Co-Founders Sergey Brin. Brin is one half of the team that created one of the most profitable internet companies in the world. A Russian who immigrated to America when he was 6, he suspended his PHD studies in computer science when the forerunner for google became so popular around their university campus.
